Maria Chaves graduated from Penn State University in 2006 with degrees in Religious Studies and History, and a minor in Jewish Studies. She then attended California Western School of Law in San Diego and obtained her J.D. in 2009.  Prior to joining Lubin Pham + Caplin, she practiced as a civil defense attorney across Southern California, specializing in bodily injury and property damage. She has extensive experience with settlement negotiations, mediations, and all aspects of litigation. When she is not working, she enjoys spending time with her two children, and volunteering with youth sports organizations.
