JC graduated cum laude from the University of California Irvine with a bachelor’s degree in political science. Then graduated with honors from the University of California Irvine School of Law where he received UCI’s Faculty Award for the highest performance in Remedies and Torts. While in law school, he was Editor for both the UCI Law Review and the UCI inaugural Journal of International, Transnational, and Comparative Law. After graduating he practiced complex commercial and real property litigation with a large defense firm.
